What is coast for accommodation in Denmark ?
What is coast of living and accommodation in Denmark for International student ?
Ii you are moving to one of the most expensive cities in the world if yes then this article is for you .
india student currently living in copenhagen Denmark share her experience and on my youtube channel .
i'm gonna be focusing on copenhagen and the cost of living here in copenhagen i've been living in copenhagen for almost very soon five years and i want to share various expenses that one has to wear on a monthly basis so without further ado let's get started and i hope you find this video informative .
number one is the accommodation which would be your major expense every month now where do you choose to stay the size your apartment how do you choose to stay all determined the rent that you would be paying here in copenhagen so if you are staying in the city center it will be costly but if you go a little further away the prices starts to decrease it also depends on how you live so say .
For example if you're moving with your family you would want to rent an entire apartment but if you are single and you are moving alone you can also go for this fantastic concept which is quite popular in copenhagen in denmark is co-living so you are sharing the kitchen bathroom with your other roommates and you get your own room so that will determine the rank for you and the next one is howbig isyour apartment because you can easily get two room apartment which is around 50 square meter but you can also get two room apartment which is like 80 square meter so these factors will determine how much you are paying for rent but just to give you an idea like one room apartment in the city center will easily cost you 10 000 dk (approx 120000 inr ) because 1 dkr is equal to 12.40 inr and more and one room apartment away from city center can start from 7000 dkk (86800inr) and increase like 8 000 9000 depending upon other factors you can also go to one of the websites called bullyportal.deco and check and understand the rent prices yourself you can use the filters to search based on your requirement where you want to live how many rooms you want and others talking about rent i want to also include about deposit which is going to be a big amount that you are paying once but it is big amount here you can understand that if the rent is 10 000 kroner the deposit is easily 50 000
kroner the next one is about utilities utilities bill will include your electricity your gas heating and water it can also include your media license your in-house internet it depends on your consumption and how big is your apartment but it can easily again cost you 1000 to 1500 kroner remember that sometimes utilities will be part of your rent and sometimes .
it is not now let's talk about grocery expense in copenhagen it is not like it is very expensive to buy day to day grocery for us as a couple we are paying around 3 000 and plus extra for monthly grocery so it is not very expensive that you have to think about okay now that i live in copenhagen should i give up on eating rice but it also depends on where do you shop from because in copenhagen you have supermarkets which are expensive and you have supermarkets which are cost friendly irma is expensive i cannot afford to go to irma every time i want but like my go-to supermarket is rama and i actually really enjoy shopping their my grocery shopping every month and i think the prices are decent so now rent is sorted you have your place you have food you are eating food now you want to travel in copenhagen outside copenhagen how do you do that so if you are moving to copenhagen i would highly recommend you to get started with biking if you haven't already because trust me it will save you a lot of money on transportation so instead of like you know buying your monthly pass you are biking and that is the thing here in denmark like copenhagen is meant for biking so copenhagen has zone system to calculate the price for your commute and as you can see here we have many zones there are also different categories of prices like a single ticket for two zones will cost 24 kroner and a monthly pass for two zones will cost you 410 kroner [Music] and i want to talk about few other expenses that will be part of your monthly expense your phone bill so you can go for different types of providers which are available here in copenhagen leica mobile is quite popular which costs you around 100 kroner and something for a monthly
subscription you can also go for fitness center subscription if you are into fitness and there are again various other types of fitness centers here in copenhagen my husband and i we both have the subscription and it costs us around 200 and something i think around 250 kroner per month you will also want to go out and eat drink coffee and it will be some amount on your pocket coffee is expensive in copenhagen so it is easily can cost you 30 kroner 35 kroner 40 kroner 45 kroner depending on where you go out for coffee brunch can easily cost you 110 kroner and more dinner for two people can easily cost you more than 300 kroner and then more if you want to go for also drink i hope you liked the video and found the video informative and if you haven't already do subscribe to my channel i make videos every friday sharing my life experiences and helping you know more about denmark i will see you next friday till then take care and bye
